OnePlus Nord CE 5 tipped to launch with massive battery upgrade (2025)

The Nord CE4 is touted as the "All Power" Android smartphone in India thanks to its 5,500mAh, which was hailed as a sizeable achievement for a device that started at INR 24,999 (~$290) in 2024.

Its successor is now touted to overtake it with a substantial upgrade of 1,900mAh in rated capacity for an on-trend total of 7,100mAh. Accordingly, the handset - which might launch as the Nord CE5 or Nord CE 5 - might be able to challenge devices like those of the Realme Neo 7 series soon.

The "CE 5" is also now projected to launch with the Dimensity 8400 from MediaTek if it doesn't go with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 as a direct upgrade for the7 Gen 3 of the CE4. The amount of internal storage it might support remains unknown at this time, although it is backed to retain UFS 3.1 speeds for this spec.

The"CE 5" is thought to go under the code-name honda at the time of writing, which represents a departure from the food-themed aliases ofOnePlussmartphones of the past.

The date of its launch remains unknown, although it might act as a preview of the OnePlus 14's own evolution into a battery monster later in 2025.
